Tamaulipas air ambulance transfers injured child to Ciudad Victoria

A child was airlifted to a specialized hospital in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, following a serious car accident on the Soto la Marina–Los Rayones highway. The accident, which occurred during the early hours of Friday, resulted in six injuries.

Following instructions from Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya, the State Health Secretariat activated emergency protocols. The Medical Emergencies Regulatory Center (CRUM) coordinated the air ambulance transfer to the Children's Hospital in Ciudad Victoria, where the patient is receiving specialized pediatric care.

Initially, the injured individuals were taken to the IMSS Hospital in Soto la Marina for stabilization. Due to the severity of the child's injuries, an air ambulance accompanied by a ground intensive care unit was deployed. During the flight, the patient was monitored by an emergency physician certified in aeromedicine and an intensive care nurse specializing in flight medicine.
