Tamaulipas and Frontera municipalities launch free summer cultural programs for families

The municipal government of Frontera (Coahuila) has opened a summer cultural agenda that includes free courses in public libraries and "Domingos Culturales" events in the main plaza. The program, announced by Director of Arts and Culture Jaime Delgado Quirino and supported by Mayor Sara Irma Pérez Cantú, offers reading and storytelling workshops for children, modern dance performances, and activities for senior citizens from July through August.

In Tampico, the BARCO Center for Children, operated by the Instituto Tamaulipeco para la Cultura y las Artes, will run a four‑week summer initiative called "Zarpemos al Juego" from July 14 to August 7. Children can choose from themed weeks covering science, art, environmental exploration, and a mini‑olympics. Coordinator Magdalena Argüello González highlighted backing from Governor Américo Villarreal and ITCA Director Héctor Romero Lecanda, emphasizing the program’s free access and focus on creativity, learning, and community participation.
