Tamaulipas announces 90% scholarships for State Guard officers

In Tamaulipas, Mexico, Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya announced a new institutional policy providing 90% scholarships to all graduates of initial police training courses. This benefit allows members of the State Guard to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Public Security through a virtual campus.

During a graduation ceremony for 91 new elements trained as community and prison police at the University of Security and Justice of Tamaulipas, the governor emphasized the goal of developing officers with social vision and strong ethical and scientific foundations. The university has reported a 40% increase in enrollment and has implemented a virtual platform to allow security personnel to continue their training without abandoning their duties.
