Tamaulipas authorities reinforce sea turtle protection
Authorities in Tamaulipas have launched a series of inspections and monitoring activities at sea turtle camps to strengthen biodiversity conservation. Personnel from the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA) conducted surveillance to ensure that activities in these areas comply with established management plans and current environmental regulations.
These inter-institutional efforts aim to guarantee that conservation actions follow technical and environmental responsibility standards. The turtle camps play a vital role in the protection, monitoring, and management of marine species arriving at the Tamaulipas coast, helping to preserve the state's marine and coastal ecosystems. The Tamaulipas Commission of Parks and Biodiversity is coordinating with environmental institutions to reinforce these surveillance strategies as part of state policies to protect natural heritage.
