Multiple cases of missing persons and violence have been reported across Mexico. In Veracruz, two students from the Universidad Veracruzana, Melanie Michelle Méndez Morales and Luis Fernando, were found dead with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle on the Coatepec-Tlaltetela highway.

In Coahuila, authorities have launched a search for 12-year-old Aline Naomi de la Rosa, who disappeared from the 28 de Noviembre neighborhood in Múzquiz on August 15. Meanwhile, in Tamaulipas, the Fiscalía is searching for 15-year-old Melani Marishca Martínez López, last seen in Ciudad Victoria on August 12.

In Ecatepec, the disappearance of 17-year-old Melanie Estrella Enriquez Escamilla has prompted family protests. Investigators are reviewing a purported letter and audio recording attributed to the teenager to determine her whereabouts. Additionally, the United Nations has called for urgent action to locate environmental activist Irma Galindo Barrios, who has been missing since 2021.
