Tamaulipas boosts international labor mobility for nurses, teachers

The Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare of Tamaulipas, led by Secretary Luis Gerardo Illoldi Reyes, announced expanded programs to place state professionals abroad. Partnerships with the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas aim to prepare nurses for German-language requirements, resulting in eight nurses currently working in Germany and a new cohort slated for next year.

The initiative also targets teachers and other specialists, with exploratory agreements with universities and employers in the United States and companies in Spain. Over 400 Tamaulipas workers were placed in international mobility schemes during the first half of the year, following directives from Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya to increase formal, higher‑pay employment opportunities overseas.
