Tamaulipas builds water treatment plant for Ciudad Victoria

The Government of Tamaulipas is strengthening the hydraulic infrastructure of Ciudad Victoria through the construction and equipping of a new water treatment plant. This facility will supply the first and second lines of the ‘Guadalupe Victoria’ Aqueduct.

Managed by the Secretariat of Public Works, the plant will treat raw water from the Vicente Guerrero dam. The process involves several stages, including flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration to remove solids and suspended particles. Following treatment, the water will undergo chlorination to eliminate pathogens and ensure disinfection before being pumped to a 10,000 cubic meter storage tank for distribution to the capital city.
