Tamaulipas creates two new state secretariats

The Tamaulipas State Congress has approved initiatives to restructure the state government by elevating two existing entities to the rank of secretariats: the Secretariat of Women and the Secretariat of Innovation and Digital Intelligence.

Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya stated that the move aims to align the state's administrative structure with the federal government to increase operational capacity. He emphasized that the transition will not require additional budget, as the new secretariats will utilize the existing personnel, resources, and structures of the former Institute for Women and the Agency for Innovation and Digital Intelligence.

The Secretariat of Women will focus on substantive equality, preventing and addressing violence against women, and ensuring access to justice and health. The Secretariat of Innovation and Digital Intelligence will oversee digital government policies, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and the digitalization of government services.

In separate news, the Tamaulipas Ministry of Economy has formalized a partnership with Banorte to provide specialized financial services and preferential credit conditions to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (PyMEs) in the state.
