Tamaulipas DIF expands nutrition aid and free medical brigade services

The Sistema DIF in Tamaulipas is running two community health initiatives. In El Mante, the DIF program for children aged 0‑3 provides monthly food support to families, backed by municipal president Patty Chío. Educators Homero Reséndiz and Erika Torres Velázquez highlighted the positive impact on child growth and nutrition.

In Nuevo Laredo, the DIF organized a free medical brigade called “Tocando Corazones: Papá Saludable” scheduled for 19 June. The event will offer consultations in traumatology, neurology, dentistry, nutrition, psychology and general medicine, preventive screenings, vaccinations, haircut services, legal advice and social work assistance at the DIF facility on Héroe de Nacataz 2244.

Both initiatives aim to improve health, prevention and wellbeing for local families in the state of Tamaulipas.
