Tamaulipas distributes 183 tons of fertilizer to citrus producers
The government of Tamaulipas has distributed over 183 tons of fertilizer to support the regional citrus sector. This initiative is part of the S107 Productive and Economic Development Support 2026 program.
During an event held in the Emiliano Zapata ejido, a total of 592 producers received 7,339 bags of fertilizer. Eliseo Camacho Nieto, subsecretary of Agricultural Development, represented Secretary Antonio Varela Flores and noted that the distribution aims to improve plot productivity and fulfill the commitments of Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya to agricultural families.
Officials noted that current humidity levels are favorable for fertilizer application and encouraged producers to time their agricultural work to maximize the efficiency of the resources. This marks the third time such support has been provided to the region as part of ongoing efforts by the Secretariat of Rural, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Development to strengthen field productivity through technical guidance and resource provision.
