Tamaulipas Eco‑tourism Cooperative Puerto Paraíso Receives State Support

The Secretary of Tourism of Tamaulipas, Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, conducted a working visit to the Cooperativa Ecoturística Puerto Paraíso in the Sierra of Ciudad Victoria. He met with the cooperative’s president, Agustín Ricardo Mendieta Herrera, to assess project needs, define short‑, medium‑ and long‑term strategies, and outline concrete actions.

The officials reviewed infrastructure, training and promotion plans aimed at positioning Puerto Paraíso as a model of sustainable eco‑tourism, creating local jobs, preserving the environment and boosting the regional economy. Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya was cited for backing the initiative, emphasizing the state government’s commitment to community development and inclusive growth in Tamaulipas.
