Tamaulipas Education Authority Boosts Teacher Recruitment and Graduation Initiative

The Secretariat of Education of Tamaulipas (SET) announced that graduates of the state's normal schools will now be able to take the USICAMM teacher‑placement exam at centers closer to their hometowns. Secretary of Education Miguel Ángel Valdez García said the regionalized approach aims to keep new teachers with their families and increase retention in rural and semi‑urban schools.

At the same time, the Benemérita Escuela Normal Federalizada de Tamaulipas (BENFT) celebrated its 137th anniversary and the graduation of 143 new teachers – 105 in Primary Education and 38 in Inclusive Education. The ceremony, also led by Valdez García, highlighted a forthcoming 15 million‑peso investment to upgrade the school's infrastructure and noted the school's recent honor on the state congress’s Wall of Honor.
