Tamaulipas Education Secretariat resolves school labor disputes

The Tamaulipas State Education Secretariat confirmed that administrative resolutions and sanctions have been issued for two ongoing school labor conflicts: one involving teachers in Tula and another in Zone 82 of Ciudad Victoria. Secretary of Education Miguel Ángel Valdez García said the cases had been open for some time and that a supervisor in Tula has already been notified of disciplinary measures. In Zone 82, a school supervisor filed an amparo, prompting a procedural adjustment, but the Secretariat maintains that the process will continue under the law.

Valdez García emphasized dialogue and conciliation, urging teachers, supervisors and officials to avoid escalating disputes to the courts. He rejected any political motive behind the protests and highlighted the priority of preserving uninterrupted education for the state’s roughly 6,600 schools and their students.
