Tamaulipas energy officials seek photovoltaic installation certification
The Tamaulipas Secretariat of Energy Development (SEDENER) is working to certify its personnel in the installation of photovoltaic systems. Staff from the Undersecretariat of Electricity and Renewable Energies, along with field operations teams, participated in training for the EC0586.01 Competency Standard, which covers residential, commercial, and industrial solar installations.
The training course was held at the Altamira Technological University (UTAlt) and focused on theoretical and practical modules to ensure technical quality and safety. This initiative is part of the ‘Electrification to 100%’ program, which aims to provide electricity access to underserved communities in Tamaulipas to promote energy justice.
Walter Julián Ángel Jiménez, head of SEDENER, emphasized that this professionalization will strengthen the technical capabilities of public servants involved in state energy projects.
