Tamaulipas expands agricultural job opportunities in US and Canada
The state of Tamaulipas is strengthening international labor connections for agricultural workers through formal hiring mechanisms. Under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (PTET), workers are being placed in seasonal roles to promote safe labor mobility.
Recently, the Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) facilitated the departure of two workers selected through the National Employment Service. One worker from Tula will travel to Florida, United States, to work for Gargiulo, Inc. harvesting tomatoes. A second worker from Bustamante will move to Ontario, Canada, to work for Allegro Acres, Inc. in greenhouse tomato cultivation.
These initiatives, supported by Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya, aim to connect local talent with international employers under formal legal conditions and institutional guidance.
