Tamaulipas begins construction of Wellbeing Center in Jiménez
The government of Tamaulipas has launched the construction of a new Wellbeing Center in the municipality of Jiménez. Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the project, which is being executed by the Secretariat of Public Works.
The first stage of the project involves an investment of 26 million pesos. The complex is designed to serve as a multi-purpose hub for health services, training, sports, and culture. Planned infrastructure includes classrooms, a medical dispensary, a multi-use court, an outdoor gym, a children's playground, and a jogging track.
According to Social Welfare Secretary Silvia Casas González, this initiative is part of a broader program of parks, centers, and wellbeing units aimed at promoting social cohesion and citizen participation. The state currently maintains 74 parks, 15 centers, and 15 wellbeing units to provide academic support, sports, and psychological services to the population.
