Tamaulipas government distributes fertilizer to citrus producers

The Government of Tamaulipas, through the Secretariat of Rural Development, Fisheries, and Aquaculture, has distributed 77.45 tons of fertilizer to citrus producers in the municipalities of Güémez and Hidalgo.

In the El Roble ejido of Güémez, 3,098 bags of fertilizer were delivered to 241 citrus producers. This initiative is part of the S107 Program for Productive and Economic Development 2026, which provides direct inputs for primary agricultural production.

Eliseo Camacho Nieto, representing Secretary Antonio Varela Flores, emphasized the importance of coordination between municipal, state, and federal governments to support agricultural activities. Officials also noted that recent rains have aided orchard development and encouraged producers to apply the fertilizer following technical recommendations provided by agricultural extensionists.
