Tamaulipas Gov Allocates 31.9 M Pesos to Small Businesses, Extends Tax Relief

The government of the Mexican state of Tamaulipas announced a 31.9 million‑peso package to boost local enterprises. Through the Fondo Tamaulipas, the program provides micro‑credit and financing that reached 1,265 entrepreneurs and micro‑, small‑ and medium‑size businesses across 36 municipalities in the first half of 2026. The micro‑credit stream delivered 13.02 million pesos to 1,105 people organized in 217 solidarity groups, while 18.89 million pesos in financing supported 160 beneficiaries via the Credibienestar, Microemprendedor, Mi Pyme Avanza and Transformando mi Negocio schemes.

In parallel, the state finance secretariat introduced a new fiscal stimulus package extending to 31 December 2026. It includes 50‑70 % discounts on fines for alcohol‑sale establishments, up to 90 % reductions on overdue state taxes for payroll, fees and lodging, and lowered vehicle registration fees for private motorcycles. Additional measures keep a 30 % discount on vehicle control fees for compliant taxpayers and a 50 % cut on recargos for debts generated up to 2025, while public‑transport concessionaires continue to pay a special rate of 14,800 pesos. Both initiatives are presented as part of Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya’s human‑centered economic policy aimed at financial inclusion, auto‑employment and improved household welfare.
