Tamaulipas Governor appoints Angel Nájera Ortega as new Social Welfare secretary
Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya of the Mexican state of Tamaulipas dismissed former Subsecretary of Social Welfare Samuel Badillo and named Angel Nájera Ortega as his replacement. The appointment was formalized by State Secretary Silvia Casas González.
The administration also announced that Health Secretary Ricardo Guerrero Morales is addressing drug shortages in state hospitals, while a 125.2 million‑peso investment will provide new vehicles, heavy machinery and garbage‑collection trucks to several public agencies. Additionally, a historic reform to the state pension fund law was approved, extending its guarantees for 25 years.
