Tamaulipas Health Department Sends Audit Observations to Comptroller

The Secretariat of Health of Tamaulipas, led by Adriana Marcela Hernández Campos, said that any irregularities identified during the agency’s hand‑over process will be forwarded to the state Comptroller for analysis and possible investigation. Hernández Campos emphasized that the health secretariat cannot impose sanctions and that it does not cover up any anomalies, insisting that all findings are reported to the appropriate oversight body.

Separately, the State Auditor’s Office released its 2024 public‑account audit, noting a reduction in observations and amounts flagged for municipal governments in Tamaulipas. The improvement is attributed to training, technical support and new internal‑control guidelines. In contrast, water‑service operators saw an increase in observations, which remain under close review. The auditor highlighted that follow‑up actions and responsibility assignments are now a formal part of the audit process.
