Tamaulipas launches free piano concert, municipal clean‑up initiatives, and Barbacha Fest 2026
The Instituto Tamaulipeco para la Cultura y las Artes announced a free public concert titled “FUSIÓN: La música para piano de los últimos 100 años” by 16‑year‑old pianist Mateo Hurtado. The event will be held on Saturday, 6 June at 19:00 in the Alberto López auditorium of the Centro Cultural Tamaulipas in Ciudad Victoria, with support from Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya.
In Puebla, municipal president Tonantzin Fernández inaugurated the “Barriendo Tu Calle” program in the San Pedro Mexicaltzingo neighbourhood. Over a two‑week period, local residents are invited to sweep their streets alongside the Organismo Operador del Servicio de Limpia, aiming to revive community responsibility for public spaces.
The Secretaría de Salud of Tamaulipas, directed by Adriana Marcela Hernández Campos, participated in the Fourth State Clean‑up Day in Ciudad Victoria. Staff from the health department, COEPRIS and the local health district joined the municipal cleaning effort to promote healthier, less polluted environments.
The state tourism secretary, Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, announced the Barbacha Fest 2026 in El Mante, scheduled for 27 June. The culinary competition will award MX$20,000, MX$15,000 and MX$10,000 to the top three teams presenting traditional or fusion barbacoa dishes, with registrations open until 19 June.
