Tamaulipas health secretary and unions agree joint agenda to boost state health system

The Health Secretary of the Mexican state of Tamaulipas, Adriana Marcela Hernández Campos, chaired a meeting with leaders of several health‑sector unions. The participants included representatives from SUTSPET, SNTSA, SINAITSA, SIMESA and other labor groups.

All parties pledged to strengthen coordination with the governor’s administration, led by Américo Villarreal Anaya, and to promote dialogue, respect and collaborative actions. The agenda focuses on improving working conditions for health workers, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring the wellbeing of both staff and the population served by the state health system.

The meeting underscored a shared commitment to an open‑door policy and ongoing communication between the health department and union organizations, aiming to address staff needs promptly and advance the overall health infrastructure of Tamaulipas.
