Tamaulipas hosts forum to promote animal abuse prevention

The Executive Secretariat of the State Public Security System in Tamaulipas, through the Citizen Liaison Coordination, held the 3rd Forum on Animal Non-Violence in Ciudad Victoria. The event served as a space for dialogue and awareness regarding the prevention, attention, and reporting of crimes committed against animals.

During the opening, María Fernanda Sifuentes Fuentes, coordinator of Citizen Liaison, emphasized the importance of sensitizing society to animal protection and recognizing citizens involved in rescue efforts. Participants included Patricia Reyes González from the State Attorney General's Office, activist Mía Fressy, and environmentalist Marco Arturo Puente Zozaya, who shared proposals for preventing animal violence.

The forum also honored five rescuers and organizations, including Knproyect A.C., La Gloria Santuario Canino, and Tomoyocat, as well as individual rescuers Dora Lilia Rodríguez Morales and Adriana Vázquez, for their social commitment. Authorities called for increased citizen participation in reporting abuse through established protocols.
