Tamaulipas industrial activity grows 15.7% in June
Industrial activity in Tamaulipas grew by 15.7% year-on-year in June, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI). This growth rate placed the state in first place nationally for industrial expansion, surpassing other states such as Hidalgo and Colima.
The surge was primarily driven by the mining sector, which saw a massive annual increase of 107.4%, leading all Mexican states. Additionally, the manufacturing industry grew by 4.8% year-on-year, supported by its integration into export markets and northern border production chains. The construction sector also showed positive momentum with an 8.1% increase.
