Tamaulipas judicial sector reports increased productivity and legal training
The Third Unitary Chamber for Civil and Family Matters of the Supreme Court of Justice of Tamaulipas has achieved a productivity rate exceeding 100 percent over the past year. Magistrate Adrián Alberto Sánchez Salazar reported that the chamber resolved more cases than were filed during this period, successfully reducing the backlog despite a 35 to 40 percent increase in new civil and family law filings.
Family law matters, including child support, custody, and no-fault divorces, continue to represent the highest volume of cases in the state. Sánchez Salazar encouraged citizens to utilize alternative dispute resolution mechanisms to achieve more satisfactory outcomes than court-imposed decisions.
In a separate development, the Institute of Public Defense of the State of Tamaulipas (IDPET) recognized legal professionals for completing a theoretical-practical diploma in oral litigation. The program, organized by the Tamaulipas Bar Association and the Universidad Cultural Metropolitana, focused on the National Code of Civil and Family Procedures to strengthen access to justice and ethical legal practice.
