Tamaulipas launches export program to Texas for SMEs

The government of the Mexican state of Tamaulipas has opened a new call for entrepreneurs, producers and small‑businesses to enter the U.S. market. Through the Secretariat of Economy, led by Ninfa Cantú Deandar, the "De Tamaulipas para Texas, exportar también es para ti" program will accept registrations from 5 to 31 August. Participants will receive virtual training, market studies, certification guidance, customs assistance, logistics and financing support, with services available to firms in any municipality and sector, including food, beverages, agro‑industrial products and crafts.

Nuevo Laredo is highlighted as a strategic crossing point, and the initiative seeks to link Tamaulipas companies with Texas retail chains such as H‑EB, Stripes, MexMart, La Michoacana and Valero. The aim is to boost sales, create jobs and strengthen the state's export capacity by providing diagnostics, personalized advice and export‑plan development.
