Tamaulipas launches recruitment for 32 investigative police officers

The Secretariat of Public Security of Tamaulipas (SSPT) announced a hiring drive for 32 new investigators to join the state Guard. The first cohort will undergo a five‑month training program at the University of Security and Justice of Tamaulipas (USJT) covering legal management, cabinet analysis, field investigation and crime scene processing, following the national MUDIC model.

Applicants must be professionals aged 23‑35 with degrees in law, criminology, information technology or related fields. The monthly salary is 36,854.82 pesos before tax, plus life insurance, medical care, vacation, bonuses and scholarships. Eligibility includes a cleared military service card, a minimum height of 1.60 m for men (1.55 m for women) and a BMI between 18.5 and 33.
