Tamaulipas municipalities carry out road and drainage repairs in Matamoros and Ciudad Madero

Municipal authorities in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, continued a permanent pothole‑filling program across several neighborhoods, including Palmas del Mar, Chula Vista, Chapultepec, José López Portillo, Las Arboledas, Infonavit Buenavista and Popular‑H. The effort, led by Mayor Beto Granados, aims to improve traffic flow, safety and overall road conditions for residents.

In Ciudad Madero, state and municipal officials, together with COMAPA Sur, completed work to repair a sinkhole on Sinaloa Street in the Unidad Nacional colonia and finished drainage‑line repairs on Joaquín Contreras Cantú. Ongoing work on a second sinkhole on República de Chile Street in the Benito Juárez colonia is about 40 % complete, targeting 94 meters of restored drainage infrastructure.
