Tamaulipas notaries face complaints over property irregularities

At least 12 public notaries in Tamaulipas are facing civil and criminal complaints regarding alleged irregularities in real estate operations. Tania Contreras López, president of the State Supreme Court of Justice, reported that these cases are currently in the process of being integrated into legal files.

The complaints primarily involve unauthorized patrimonial modifications, where the legal status of properties was allegedly changed without the full consent or will of the owners. The investigations are concentrated in the municipality of Reynosa and the southern conurbated zone of the state.

Competent authorities will determine if the officials involved bear legal responsibility once the investigations are complete.
