Tamaulipas offers 90% discount on trademark registration for youth

The Tamaulipas Ministry of Economy, in coordination with the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), has launched the ‘Marcas para el Bienestar 2026-III Jóvenes’ campaign. This initiative offers a 90% discount on trademark registration fees for young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 29.

Under this program, the cost to process a trademark application is reduced to 312.64 pesos. Ninfa Cantú Deándar, the Secretary of Economy, stated that the goal is to provide legal certainty to young business owners, allowing them to protect their products and services while strengthening their market presence.

Interested individuals must complete their registration by September 16, 2026, via a designated online form. The program is part of the ‘Hecho en Tamaulipas’ initiative and has limited availability.
