Tamaulipas prosecutor dies in San Fernando-Reynosa highway crash

An investigative agent from the Fiscalía General de Justicia de Tamaulipas died following a violent collision on the San Fernando-Reynosa federal highway. The accident occurred Sunday afternoon near kilometer 43, close to the San Lorenzo ejido and the Francisco González Villarreal agricultural colony.

The crash involved a white Ford F-150 and a black Toyota. The deceased has been identified as Víctor Hugo “H”, an active member of the General Investigation Unit assigned to the Miguel Alemán municipality command.

Six other individuals were injured in the accident. Among the wounded was Pedro Ángeles Jiménez, the driver of the Ford truck. Emergency responders from the State Civil Protection Regional Emergency Center provided aid and transported the injured to hospitals in Reynosa.

Authorities from the Guardia Nacional, State Guard, and Investigative Police secured the scene. Specialized transit experts and the Fiscalía are conducting investigations to determine the cause of the collision and establish responsibility.
