Tamaulipas Public Defense Institute supervises juvenile detention in Güémez

The Tamaulipas State Public Defense Institute (IDPET) conducted an institutional supervision and legal assistance visit to the Regional Center for the Execution of Measures for Adolescents in Güémez. The initiative aimed to ensure human rights protection and effective access to justice for adolescents in conflict with the law.

Led by IDPET Director General Roxana Guerrero Galván and Public Defense Director César Alejandro Ávalos González, the team provided personalized legal guidance and monitored the procedural files of five detained adolescents. The visit, held in observance of International Youth Day, focused on guaranteeing specialized, free, and technical legal representation to uphold due process and fundamental rights.
