Tamaulipas residents register for Bienestar pension programs

Nearly 4,000 residents in Tamaulipas, Mexico, have recently registered for the Bienestar pension programs. According to María de Lourdes Puente Vizcarra, the delegate for Bienestar Programs, there are currently 3,905 new registrations recorded.

Of these, 1,951 belong to the Mujeres Bienestar program for women aged 60 to 64, and 1,954 are for the senior pension program for individuals aged 65 and older. The registration period for those who reached the required age between July and October concludes on Sunday, October 25.

To complete the process, applicants must present an official ID, birth certificate, proof of address, and contact numbers at designated modules or integration centers. To manage crowds, registration is organized by the first letter of the applicant's surname, though weekend sessions are available for those unable to attend on their assigned day.

Currently, the Bienestar programs serve approximately 1.1 million beneficiaries in Tamaulipas. New beneficiaries may receive their bank cards in November, with payments expected to begin in the following two-month period.
