The Tamaulipas Public Security Secretariat (SSPT) participated in the National Awareness Day on the Gravity of Sexual Abuse and Child Maltreatment. Under the slogan ‘Te escucho, te comprendo, te protejo’, the initiative aims to create safe spaces for children and adolescents through coordinated efforts with the State System for the Integral Protection of Children and Adolescents (SIPINNA Tamaulipas).

In Ciudad Victoria, activities were held at the Profesor Hermilo Obregón Aguilar Elementary School. The SSPT deployed modules for guidance and proximity, and conducted preventive talks. Social worker Jesús Armando López Puga shared information regarding the functions of the State Gender Guard and provided emergency contact numbers, including 911 and 089 for anonymous reporting.

Additionally, the Directorate for the Execution of Measures for Adolescents (DEMA) held information sessions regarding abuse as a crime. Technical subdirector Javier Carreón Urbina noted that these sessions serve to prevent future offenses by teaching adolescents how to defend themselves and informing them that they can be held legally accountable for such infractions.
