Tamaulipas selected as host for 2026 International Energy Congress

The port of Tampico, Tamaulipas, has been designated as the venue for the 2026 International Energy Congress. The announcement highlights the state's growing role as a strategic epicenter for Mexico's energy development.

During the event, Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya noted that, with support from President Claudia Sheinbaum, there are approved energy generation projects totaling $7 billion. The Governor emphasized that the objective is not only to attract investment but to ensure these projects create positive, concrete impacts for local communities and link sectoral growth with regional development.
