Tamaulipas transport authority suspends 13 ride‑hailing drivers for missing permits
The Subsecretariat of Public Transport in Tamaulipas carried out a surprise inspection of ride‑hailing vehicles in Ciudad Victoria. Inspectors reviewed 21 cars; only eight displayed a valid operator permit, while the remaining 13 received a notice sticker and were temporarily barred from service until they regularize their documentation.
Subsecretary Armando Núñez Montelongo said the operation, which also uses a "simulated user" technique to detect unregistered rides, will continue at random across the state to ensure equal conditions for all platform providers and to address requests from drivers who already comply with legal requirements.
