Tambrauw Regency launches cheap food movement to stabilize prices
The Tambrauw Regency Government has launched a Cheap Food Movement (Gerakan Pangan Murah) in the Sausapor District to stabilize the prices of essential goods, such as rice and cooking oil. This initiative aims to curb inflation and manage the Price Development Index (IPH), which currently ranks as the second highest in the regency.
The program involves collaboration with Perum Bulog Sorong, the TNI, and the Polri to provide affordable staples to the local community. Regent Yeskiel Yesnath stated that the government is working with various sectors to ensure food price stability. Plans are underway to expand these food interventions to the Fef, Kebar, and Amberbaken districts.
