Tamchy SFIT named Asia-Pacific's top rising star free zone
Tamchy Special Financial Investment Territory (SFIT) has been ranked first in the Asia-Pacific region and second globally in the Rising Star category of fDi Intelligence’s Global Free Zones of the Year Awards 2026. This marks the first time a financial hub from Central Asia has received such recognition.
Established by law in July 2025 and formally inaugurated by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in July 2026, the jurisdiction operates under English common law principles. It features its own financial regulator, an International Dispute Resolution Centre, and a digital registrar. To attract residents, the territory offers significant incentives, including a 0% corporate income tax rate, zero VAT, and zero capital gains tax for 49 years, alongside unrestricted profit repatriation.
Ayaz Baetov, First Deputy Chairman of Tamchy SFIT’s Management Council, described the award as an international endorsement of the project's vision to create a next-generation financial jurisdiction with high-speed digital infrastructure and legal certainty.
