Tame Impala and Jennie song Dracula sees streaming surge

The synth-pop track “Dracula,” a collaboration between Tame Impala and Jennie, experienced a significant increase in streaming during the Halloween period. According to music data company Luminate, the original version and the remix collectively garnered 16 million global on-demand streams between October 30 and November 1.

This follows a previous weekend of October 23 to October 25, where the song received 11 million streams, marking a 44 percent increase. Early chart predictions suggest the surge could help the track reach a new peak at number three on the Billboard Hot 100, potentially placing it above Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”

Since its release in February, the “Dracula” remix has accumulated nearly 1 billion global on-demand streams. The collaboration originated from a chance encounter between Kevin Parker, the producer behind Tame Impala, and Jennie.
