Tame Impala covers Seal on triple j Like a Version

Kevin Parker, the musician behind Tame Impala, has returned to the Australian radio program Like a Version for his fourth appearance. For this session, he performed a cover of Seal’s 1994 hit, “Kiss from a Rose.”

The rendition remains faithful to the original track, which famously appeared on the Batman Forever soundtrack and earned Seal three Grammy Awards. This performance marks a continuation of a pattern for Parker, as three of his four Like a Version covers have featured songs originally released in 1994.

Tame Impala recently completed the Australian leg of the Deadbeat Tour, performing in cities including Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth. The group is scheduled to resume touring in May 2027 with arena shows in the UK and Europe, followed by summer festival appearances.
