Tamer Abdel Hamid claims 100 million EGP valuation if playing for Zamalek
Former Zamalek star Tamer Abdel Hamid, known as ‘Dunga’, stated that if he were still playing for Zamalek today, he would demand 100 million Egyptian pounds due to the significant rise in player market values.
Speaking on ‘Stad Al-Mahwar’, Abdel Hamid expressed confidence in his technical abilities, suggesting that current defensive midfielders in Egyptian football do not reach his level. He also commented on the upcoming season, noting that while Zamalek faces internal crises and a squad that may lack the depth required for major competitions, the club’s prestige and large fanbase remain significant strengths.
Additionally, Abdel Hamid praised Al Ahly midfielder Emam Ashour, describing him as a great player and a vital force within the Al Ahly squad. He predicted a highly competitive season as both Egyptian giants strive to return to championship podiums.
