Tamikrest to perform in Greece with new album Assikel

Tuareg desert blues band Tamikrest is scheduled to perform in Greece during the Valentine's Day weekend in February 2027. The group will appear at the Principal Club Theater in Thessaloniki on Friday, February 12, followed by a performance at the Fuzz Club in Athens on Saturday, February 13.

Formed in 2006 by Ousmane Ag Mossa, Cheikh Ag Tiglia, and Ali Kalg[h]lgh in the Tinzawaten region near the Mali-Algeria border, the band carries the musical legacy of the Kel Tamasheq people. Their sound blends traditional Ishumar rock and desert blues with elements of psychedelic rock, dub, and funk. The upcoming performances will feature material from their new album, Assikel.
