Tamil film Jana Nayagan delayed amid censor board dispute
The Tamil‑language movie "Jana Nayagan", starring Vijay—who recently became Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu—has been stalled for more than five months. The censor board has not granted certification, leaving the film unreleased despite several postponed dates, including a planned June 19 launch.
Director H. Vinoth has hinted that the hold‑up involves issues beyond ordinary certification delays, mentioning political content and possible legal complications, but declined to elaborate. Producer KVN Productions continues to work through the required processes while fans and industry observers await an official explanation for the prolonged suspension.
