Tamil Nadu and Railways battle in Ranji Trophy Group D fixture

The Ranji Trophy Elite Group D encounter between Tamil Nadu and Railways at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium has seen significant action over the first two days. On day one, Tamil Nadu's R. Sonu Yadav provided early momentum with three wickets, while Railways' Zubair Ali Khan anchored his side with a 75-run innings, including a 61-run last-wicket stand with Himanshu Sangwan.

Day two saw a high volume of wickets, with 16 falling in total, 15 of which were taken by spinners. Railways ended the day at 107/9, extending their lead to 126. Tamil Nadu's Baba Indrajith, who scored 59, noted the difficulty of the pitch and emphasized that set batters must maximize their opportunities during the fourth-innings run chase, as scoring boundaries may be challenging as the pitch offers more turn.
