In the Tamil Nadu Assembly, Housing Minister B Rajkumar sparked debate by claiming the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has ended a 50-year political legacy of the DMK and AIADMK. Separately, Minister B Rajkumar announced a new scheme to resolve long-standing disputes regarding Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB) acquired lands. The government is also introducing digital reforms to streamline urban development. This includes an end-to-end online system for land-use reclassification and expanded self-certification limits for residential buildings, which will increase from 3,500 to 5,000 square feet.
