Tamil Nadu CM Vijay pledges police welfare and tech upgrades

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay extended greetings to the state's police force on Sunday, September 6, marking Tamil Nadu Police Day. The occasion commemorates the 1859 enactment of the Madras District Police Act, which established a modern and organized police force in the region.

In a message to the personnel, the Chief Minister praised their courage and commitment to maintaining law and order, particularly during emergencies and natural disasters. He emphasized that their selfless service is essential for ensuring social peace and upholding the rule of law.

To support the force, the Chief Minister pledged that his government would prioritize reducing the workload of police personnel. He also stated that the administration aims to enhance operational efficiency by equipping officers with modern technological facilities and ensuring that welfare programs are available to both personnel and their families.
