Tamil Nadu Minister joins drug awareness walkathon in Madurai

Tamil Nadu Minister CTR Nirmal Kumar participated in a ‘Say No Drugs’ awareness walkathon in Madurai on Saturday. The event aimed to educate the public, particularly the youth, on the dangers of narcotics and promote a drug-free society.

Separately, Tamil Nadu Assembly Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin criticized the state government regarding the law and order situation. Stalin alleged that the drug menace is contributing to recent violence in the state. He specifically highlighted the killing of 19-year-old Amudhan in Coimbatore, asserting that the death was a murder linked to the victim providing information about drug-related activities rather than a gang clash. Stalin also noted that the Kallakurichi district party unit held a demonstration demanding justice for the case.
