Tamil Nadu plans 220 crore rupee urban infrastructure projects

The Tamil Nadu government has initiated the assessment process for two urban infrastructure projects valued at 220 crore rupees through public-private partnerships (PPP).

The first project involves the construction of a multipurpose commercial complex in Thanjavur, estimated to cost 130 crore rupees. The second project focuses on the redevelopment of an old bus stand in the Polpettai area of Thoothukudi, with an expected cost of 90 crore rupees.

Tenders have been invited to appoint consultants to prepare detailed feasibility reports and provide transaction advisory services under the state’s ‘Project Development Grant Fund’. These consultants will evaluate the financial viability of the projects and determine the appropriate partnership framework before the selection of private developers begins.
