Tamil Nadu political speculation rises over actor Dhanush

Speculation regarding actor Dhanush entering Tamil Nadu politics has intensified following the renaming of his fan association to the Dhanush Narpani Iyakkam (Dhanush Welfare Movement). The organizational change was announced during a meeting in Coimbatore attended by approximately 3,000 office bearers, focusing on social responsibility and welfare activities.

While Dhanush has not officially announced any political ambitions, the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party has commented on the developments. TVK spokesperson M Sathya Kumar noted that while the party is pleased to serve as an inspiration for political start-ups, replicating the path of Chief Minister Joseph Vijay is difficult. Kumar emphasized that Vijay spent 30 years building his political foundation and eventually left acting at the peak of his career to commit to public service.
