The tenth edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2026 began on 4 August at NPR College Ground in Dindigul, with defending champions iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans playing Dindigul Dragons.

iDream Tiruppur finished second last season and beat Dindigul Dragons by 118 runs in the previous final; the Dragons have won three of the last five head‑to‑head meetings.

The league aims for higher scores, expecting more 200‑plus totals as pitches are set to favor batters. TNCA president TJ Srinivasaraj said they want conditions that allow hundreds of runs, similar to the IPL.

TNCA will stream matches on YouTube in Hindi, English and Tamil, targeting a global audience of up to 200 million users, according to secretary U Bhagwandas Rao.

Captains R Sai Kishore (iDream Tiruppur) and B Indrajith (Dindigul) expressed confidence in a fearless brand of cricket.
